I'm New!

Welcome!

We know you may feel a bit intimidated walking in the doors of a new church for the very first time, and it can often be hard to feel comfortable when meeting new people when you're visiting somewhere new.

We want you to know that first-timers are always welcome at our church! We love having visitors who take the time to come and experience worship with us. You will quickly feel like family here as we want you to feel comfortable during your visit!

Here are a few questions and answers about visiting Emmanuel Baptist Church so you can enjoy your first visit:

What Are the People Like?

We are a diverse group of people who care deeply about each other and others in our community. We are a congregation of regular folks with a sincere desire to grow and serve Christ as part of His local church body.

Nobody at our church is perfect. In fact, we've all made many mistakes and fallen short of the glory of God. What has brought us together as a church family is the love and grace of Christ, who has forgiven every one of us!

Our church is a place where you'll be able make friends with people who will support you on your journey and be there when you need help.

What Are Your Services Like?

During any one of our services, you will experience a sincere and Spirit-filled atmosphere where you will enjoy uplifting, revival-styled congregational music, along with heartfelt specials by many of our members.

The foundation and focus of all we do is the Bible. Each service features a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible-based message from our pastor.

Our services average approximately 60 to 75 minutes in length.

Which Bible Version Do You Use?

We teach and preach from the King James Bible.

Is It Okay to Bring My Children Into the Preaching Service?

Yes, most definitely! Some young children may find it difficult to leave their parents in an unfamiliar setting (or vice versa).  We hope that families who begin to regularly attend our church will come to appreciate the value of their children developing close friendships with their peers in the context of their own age-appropriate class.

Do Visitors Have to Stand Up and Say Anything?

Our pastor may acknowledge you as being our honored guest but that’s it! We will simply give you a guest card and ask you to drop it in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit.

Feel Free to Contact Us Before You Visit!

If you have any other questions you are welcome to contact us by calling (616) 647-4088, sending us an email, or asking someone when you arrive.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Will You Go to Heaven?

Salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who puts their trust in Christ as Savior and follows Him (Romans 3:23, 6:23; John 3:16).
